VICTORIA, BC – Driftwood Brewery has announced the launch of Bird of Prey, a new series of wild ales, starting with a Flanders Red ale:
The first in our Bird of Prey Wild Ale series, this sour ale was inspired by a Coopers Hawk that took residence in the brewery for a full 24 hours. Brewed in its honour, this wild ale spent a year conditioning in a mix of American & French oak wine barrels. Tart & funky, this beer can be aged for a very long time, but will be enjoyed now!
Bird of Prey Flanders Red will be available in the Driftwood retail store and selected liquor stores in the Victoria and Vancouver areas.
Count yourself extremely lucky if you happen to find a bottle this weekend, as far as I can tell it pretty much sold out on Thursday, after only hitting stores in Vancouver on Wednesday afternoon. (Maybe those in Victoria will be luckier.)
They have lots at Beverly Liquor store in Duncan ..!
