CALGARY, AB – After almost of decade of brewing their numerous brands at a facility in Wisconsin for distribution throughout North America, the Calgary-based brother and sister team Ravinder and Manjit Minhas are on the verge of finally opening a brewery in their home town.
The siblings opened the doors at Minhas Micro Brewery to friends and media last Friday, and the finishing touches are now being put on the brewery for an official public opening in July.
As reported in the Calgary Herald, the brewery will produce approximately 400,000 bottles in the first year, with production concentrating primarily on specialty brands including Chocolate Bunny Stout, Mystical Jack Traditional Ale, Imperial Jack Double IPA and Lazy Mutt.
The site will also feature a casual restaurant specializing in pizza and other pub fare, with 16 beers on tap and up to 70 in bottles and cans.
