WINDSOR, ON – Walkerville Brewery has announced the launch of a new series of seasonal beers that will be packaged in limited edition growlers featuring artwork by local artist Marc Lacourciere.
As noted in an article in the Windsor Star, Walkerville has signed an agreement with Lacourciere that will see him creating artwork for the series for the next five years. Each release will be limited to 150 custom made 64 ounce swing-top growlers, with the first 50 in each edition signed by the artist.
The first beer to be released in the ornate packaging is Roasted Chestnut Brown Ale, a 5% abv ale brewed especially for the holidays:
This single-batch, limited release beer is brewed with real roasted chestnuts and dark kilned malts. A special European yeast strain produces notes of pepper and clove with hints of spice, while the finish is malty and rich. A wonderful complement to braised short ribs, stews and chocolate, this beer is fit for a special occasion and is most enjoyable when shared with friends and family.
Roasted Chestnut Brown Ale is available now on tap and in 500 ml bottles at the brewery, with pre-orders being taken for the special growler edition which will be released soon.
