WHITEHORSE, YK – Canada’s northernmost brewery – Yukon Brewing – will soon have some company, as a new nanobrewery is getting set to open in a subdivision just outside of Whitehorse.
As reported by CBC News, avid homebrewers Marko and Meghan Marjanovic are aiming to launch Winterlong Brewing this spring, with plans to produce around 350 litres of beer a week out of the currently under construction brewhouse near their home.
“We’re going to focus more on hop-focused pale ales, IPA, a dark beer for the dark beer lovers,” Marko tells CBC. “We’ll probably rotate a beer once a month or so, something more special like a smoked porter, imperial stout, a German hefeweizen and that sort of thing.”
