HALIFAX, NS – Garrison Brewing has announced the release of the latest editions of a pair of seasonal beers, with one of them getting a new name, and the other being used to launch a new series.
Dirty Ol’ Town is the new branding for the beer previously known simply as Garrison Black IPA. The beer starts as a blend of Garrison’s Imperial IPA and Martello Stout, which is then dry-hopped and further conditioned before being bottled unfiltered at 6.5% abv and 52 IBU.
Kicking off the Garrison Cellar Series – a selection of strong and robust beers that are ideal for cellaring – is the latest vintage of Ol’ Fog Burner Barley Wine, checking in this year at 11.5% abv and 60 IBU.
Both beers were released last Friday February 19th at the Garrison retail store, with Dirty Ol’ Town also set to be distributed throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, while Ol’ Fog Burner remains exclusive to the brewery.
