TORONTO, ON – At a press conference held this morning at its headquarters in Toronto, the LCBO announced that Ontario residents can now order beer, cider, wine and spirits via its website for home or store delivery.
Officially launching today, the e-commerce service available via LCBO.com offers approximately 5,000 products from Canada and around the world, with plans to expand selection to 16,000 products by 2017. The selection includes a number of online exclusives, with some products being made available outside of the LCBO private order and consignment programs for the first time.
Customers must order a minimum of $50 worth of products, and can choose to have their order shipped to any LCBO store in the province for free pick-up, or home delivery via Canada Post for a fee of $12 plus tax. If the latter is chosen, someone 19 years of age or older with valid ID must accept the delivery.
