MAHONE BAY, NS – The Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reports that a new craft brewery on Nova Scotia’s South Shore has soft launched in advance of its grand opening next month.
Saltbox Brewing made its debut at the Mahone Bay Heritage Boat Yard Festival this past weekend, where it was pouring samples for attendees and promoting the opening of the retail shop at the brewery, located at 363 Main Street in Mahone Bay.
Several “Foundation Brews” created on a pilot system are being offered for growler fills based on availability while the full-scale brewhouse is being installed and prepared for brewing. Beers tapped so far include IPA, Dark Cream Ale and Hefeweizen, with Scottish Ale, Stout and Cream Ale planned to follow.
