TORONTO, ON – Mill Street Brewery has announced the upcoming release of a new seasonal sampler pack, as well as the latest in its ongoing series of limited edition large format strong ales.
The Spring Mix 2017 pack features two bottles each of three seasonal brands:
Snowdrop Saison (5.2% abv) is a new “lightly floral and refreshingly dry” Belgian-style farmhouse ale brewed with star anise, chamomile, lemon and black pepper.
Big League IPA (7% abv) was originally available in 2015 as Grapefruit League IPA, and also appeared in last year’s Spring Mix under its current name. It’s described as “a golden coloured ale with a very floral ‘grapefruit’ flavour from American Cascade hops”.
Madawaska Maple Irish Red Ale (5% abv) is also returning after its debut in Spring Mix 2016. Originally developed at Mill Street’s Ottawa brewpub, it’s made using maple syrup from the namesake Madawaska Valley, producing a “subtly sweet and malty Irish red ale”.
Also set for release soon in 750 ml bottles is Rodeo Monk White IPA, a 7% abv and 55 IBU ale described as follows:
Brussels meets Boise, Idaho with this Belgian-American IPA! Taking the best of traditional Belgian Witbier and roping it together with cowboy-level American craft IPA design, our new “White IPA” is the best of both worlds. Made with five varieties of hops from Europe and USA, pale wheat and barley malts and left unfiltered with Belgian witbier yeast still in it, brewing this bad-boy was as much fun as a cattle drive in a monastery! Dern tootin’!
More release details for the Spring Mix pack and Rodeo Monk are expected to be announced soon on the Mill Street Facebook page and other social media.
