WINNIPEG, MB – Winnipeg brewpub PEG Beer Co. has closed its doors, with no clear indication if it will be a temporary or permanent shutdown.
The closure was announced via a brief statement that was posted yesterday on Facebook and the PEG Beer Co. website:
We are currently closed. Once we are able to provide further info, we will. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Owner Nicole Barry told CBC News that the establishment has been closed since Tuesday, but offered no further details.
PEG Beer Co. opened as a 130-seat restaurant and bar in March 2016, and started serving its own house-brewed beers in October 2016.
