CAMBRIDGE, ON – A brewmaster with experience at numerous breweries in Ontario has announced plans to open a brewery and distillery in Cambridge later this year.
Wave Maker Craft Brewery & Distillery is being founded by Scott Pautler, a graduate of Niagara College Teaching Brewery who has most recently worked as head brewer at Old Flame Brewing in Port Perry.
Set to be located at 639 Laurel Street in the Preston neighbourhood, Wave Maker will feature a 1,300-square-foot taproom and retail shop with eight taps, a cocktail menu, and event space.
“Our motto is Beer with Soul!,” says Pautler in a press release. “We are very passionate about brewing and we will put our heart and soul into every batch. We want to create beer and spirits with very expressive character. Our focus will be to create a variety of high quality beers and spirits of all types and deliver them in an enjoyable and memorable way.”
Wave Maker is expected to start pouring beer in mid-summer, with the distillery to be installed soon after opening. An early preview of what the brewery will offer will come on March 24th, with the release of a collaborative session IPA at Brothers Brewing in Guelph.
