VANCOUVER, BC – The latest newsletter from CAMRA Vancouver mentions a number of new seasonal and limited release beers available at several brewpubs and bars in the city:
Derrick Franche put on a Double IPA at Dix today. It isn’t as big as last year’s “Pissing Contest” IPA, but it still has some heft at 8.3% ABV and 91 IBU. For fruit beer lovers, Steamworks Frambozen is imminent as the Sour Cherry is almost finished. Dave Varga also has a new seasonal at Taylor’s Crossing. It’s a 5% ABV Belgian-style Witbier with Curaçao orange peel and Indian coriander. You could do a comparative crawl, starting out at Taylor’s Crossing, stopping off at Steamworks for their Ipanema, then ending up at the Granville Island Tap Room to try Vern Lambourne’s GIB Limited Release Witbier.
