SASKATOON, SK – Great Western Brewing CEO Ron Waldman has announced that he is stepping down from his current role at the company effective January 1st, with his position to be filled by president and COO Michael Micovcin.
In a statement, Waldman said “I am extremely pleased by our accomplishments during my time as CEO and proud of each and every one of our employees, who are such an integral part of our success. I am excited to have the opportunity to pass the torch to an extremely capable and knowledgeable individual […] who will strategically guide the brewery into the future.”
Waldman, who has been CEO at Great Western since 1994, will will remain involved with the brewery in an advisory capacity as chairman of the Board of Directors, replacing current chair Vaughn Wyant who will remain as a member of the Board.
