VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has released two seasonal beers for the winter months – Instigator, a doppelbock returning for another year; and Trainwreck, a new barley wine:
The Instigator is back and ready to butt heads. This doppelbock kicks with some serious toasted flavours and a full body. And big horns.
On the ale side of the yeast divide, this year’s barley wine, Trainwreck, is set to derail your holidays in the best way possible. Providing a boxcar of big malts and rich, caramel aromas, Trainwreck will run you around the corner on two wheels.
Both beers are available now at select beer stores, and at the brewery, where they are also offering a limited supply of the 2008 and 2009 editions of Instigator, as well as bottles of their different barley wines from the same years.
