CALGARY, AB – Wild Rose Brewery will be offering their Imperial IPA as a winter seasonal again this year, with the launch planned for January 13th. The following day, a special cask dry hopped with Cascade hops will be tapped as part of the weekly “Wild Fridays” event, starting at 4:00 PM in the Wild Rose Taproom.
In a press release with the headline “Mad Brewers Kill Innocent Hops, Bitterness Ensues”, the beer is given the following description:
From the aroma alone you’d think that you’re walking through a pine forest. This coniferous nose blends into a caramel sweetness and is complimented by notes of grapefruit and tangerine. On the tongue, huge up-front bitterness is balanced by spicy, peppery alcohol and a luxurious malty sweetness. As the alcohol dries out, citrus rinds coat the mouth and the bitterness, accompanied by a warming sensation, strikes in the finish.
Wild Rose Imperial IPA will be available in 500 ml flip-top bottles at select liquor stores in Alberta, on tap at a number of select locations including the Wild Rose Brewery & Taproom.
