VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has announced details of their next couple of additions to their line-up, as well as a new project that will keep the hop-heads happy.
Their newest limited edition brew is Hoperation Tripel Cross, an 8% ale described as “a Belgian IPA full of complex fruit flavours & a substantial amount Northwest hops.” (One report says that this beer will be replacing Surly Blonde, a Belgian-style tripel that Phillips has brewed for a number of years, but this isn’t mentioned in the official announcement.)
Hoperation Tripel Cross is available now in 650 ml bomber bottles, and will be followed by “our new Ginger Beer. A crisp light bodied ale punctuated by a healthy amount of ginger.”
Phillips has also launched a new mixed 12-pack called the Phillips Hop Box, which will contain bottles of year-round favourites like Hop Circle IPA and Skookum Cascadian Brown Ale, as well as a rotation of new hop-forward beers. The inaugural edition of the package includes two new beers – Krypton Rye Pale Ale, and the first in a new Grow Hop Series of single-hop IPAs, this one featuring Centennial hops.
