Alley Kat Brews Two More Sherbrooke Exclusives

EDMONTON, ABSherbrooke Liquor, one of Canada’s best beer shops, has two new house brand beers available, both created for them by Alley Kat Brewing.

The first, Chinese New Beer, was released in late January, and is a Belgian-style wheat beer brewed with orange peel and coriander that’s been designed to pair well with the cuisine at The Lingnan, a Chinese restaurant in Edmonton known as the setting for the Food Network program Family Restaurant. The beer is available at Sherbrooke, The Lingnan, and Vintage Wine and Spirits in Grande Prairie.

The more recent release is Mojo A’Peel, a Bavarian-style dark wheat beer brewed with vanilla extract and demerara sugar that’s  described as a “Bananas Foster Dunkelweizen,” featuring notes of caramel, vanilla and banana. Available exclusively at Sherbrooke, it features a label designed by Scott Shaw!, a veteran animator and illustrator who currently works on various Simpsons comics and other projects.
