EDMONTON, AB – Just in time for St. Paddy’s, Sherbrooke Liquor in Edmonton has released a batch of Sherbrooke Shamrock, a green-coloured Belgian style lager brewed for them by Alley Kat Brewing.
According to the tongue-in-cheek press release, the beer is brewed by a crew of leprechauns who break into Alley Kat at night to use the equipment:
“Sherbrooke Shamrock is brewed as a Belgian strong lager. It pours a bright Kelly green, the aroma is of soft malt and a slightly fruity ester. The finish is clean and crisp with a pleasing hop bite.” Asked why Irish leprechauns would brew a Belgian style lager, Alley Kat owner and acknowledged gutless coward [Neil Herbst] would only smile nervously and say “You never go against the leprechauns.”
Sherbrooke Shamrock is available now at Sherbrooke Liquor, known for having the largest selection of beer in Canada with over 800 different brands in stock.
