TORONTO, ON – Scottish brewery Innis & Gunn has announced the launch of the second annual search for artwork to grace the packaging of the 2012 edition of their Canada Day oak-aged ale.
Released each year since 2009 to thank Canadians for their support of Innis & Gunn, the annual Canada Day brew featured artwork from a Canadian artist for the first time in 2011, when a piece entitled Canadian Spirit by Alberta-native and Ontario-resident Deborah Colvin was chosen from a group of 50 entries submitted by members of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA).
For the 2012 release, the brewery is once again working with the SCA, with members asked to produce original artwork that best reflects the country’s rich culture and character.
The winning artist will be named in early 2012, and the limited edition beer featuring their artwork on the package will be released across Canada in time to be available for Canada Day celebrations.
