VICTORIA, BC – Following on a “coming soon” announcement last November, Hoyne Brewing is now up and running as British Columbia’s newest craft brewery.
Joining a number of other breweries and brewpubs in Victoria’s Rock Bay neighbourhood, Hoyne Brewing is headed by brewmaster Sean Hoyne – known for his previous stints at Swan’s Brewery and Canoe Brewpub – along with his wife Chantal O’Brien.
Hoyne is launching with four flagship beers – Hoyner Pilsner, Down Easy Pale Ale, Devil’s Dream IPA and Big Bock (originally set to be known as Big Cock Bock, but changed due to objections from the BC licensing agency).
All four beers are available now in growlers at the brewery, and will be released in 650 ml bottles at select private liquor stores in BC later this month, with draught following soon after.
