CALGARY, AB – Wild Rose Brewery has announced the launch of a new addition to their line-up of seasonal beers.
Wild Rose Foothillz Pilz – a renamed update of the Czech Pilz released by the brewery in previous years – is described in a press release as follows:
Brewed using Canadian Superior Pilsen malt the generous addition of Saaz, Vanguard and Tettnanger hops provides a spicy, citrus aroma and a pleasant lingering bitterness. Like all good lagers, the Foothillz Pilz has undergone an extensive cold aging period which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness. This lager has a straw coloured hue, with a distinct hop aroma and flavour. Crisp, clean and refreshing, this Czech Style Pilsner has been crafted to satisfy.
Foothillz Pilz will be officially launched at 4:00 PM today at the Wild Rose Taproom with the tapping of a special cask conditioned batch of the beer. It will in 650 ml bottles at the brewery store and select liquor stores in Alberta, and on tap at a number of craft beer bars in the province.
