VANKLEEK HILL, ON – Beau’s All Natural Brewing will be releasing the latest in its “Wild Oats” series of limited and one-off beers next week.
Strong Patrick Irish Red Ale is a strong interpretation of an Irish Red Ale, with 1/8th of the batch aged in wheat whiskey barrels and then blended back in.
The Beau’s website provides the following tasting notes for the beer:
This is a luscious, red-hued ale with a malty backbone, showcasing toasty and toffee notes complemented by some warming alcohol & whiskey flavours. These combine with underlying wood & vanilla nuances added through contact with oak.
Strong Patrick Irish Red Ale will be released next Thursday March 8th, and will be available at the brewery store and via the Beau’s BYBO delivery service in Ottawa and area.
A release party will take place on Saturday March 10th at the Windsor Tavern (84 Main St E, Vankleek Hill), featuring a live performance by The Hilotrons. A $35 return-trip bus ticket from Ottawa is available, including a glass of beer and tour at the Beau’s brewery, admission to the show, and steak dinner at the Windsor Tavern – see the event listing on the Beau’s website for more information.
