VICTORIA, BC – Vancouver Island beer news blog Beer on the Rock reports that Vancouver Island Brewery is preparing to launch a new seasonal beer for the summer:
Beachcomber Summer Ale is an unfiltered ale styled after a German Weissbier. Pouring a glowing, golden yellow, this ale combines mellow aromatic notes of tropical fruit and banana. Mild clove spice on the tongue combines with the aroma to create a thirst quenching beer with a clean dry finish, perfect for those warm summer days.
The original post also notes that Beachcomber was made using a yeast strain from Germany’s Weihenstephan Brewery, the oldest brewery in the world, and one that is renowned for its wheat beers.
Beachcomber Summer Ale will be released in April.
