TORONTO, ON – In what is reported to be a first for a product from an NHL-partnered company, Molson Coors Canada has released limited edition 473 ml cans of three of its brands – Molson Export, Molson Canadian and Coors Light – that prominently feature images of the Stanley Cup.
The cans are being released as part of The Stanley Cup Collection, a set of branding initiatives that also includes distinctive Stanley Cup tap handles that will be used to pour Molson products at thousands of bars throughout North America during the upcoming NHL playoffs, as well as a series of 92 commemorative cards – one for each Stanley Cup victory since 1918 – that will be found in cases of the trio of flagship brands noted above.
Molson’s Stanley Cup cans, cards and tap handles are rolling out now across Canada.
But it is the same old boring, bland and yellow beer inside that can.
