WINNIPEG, MB – Following a quick sell-out of last year’s inaugural edition, Half Pints Brewing has announced that Queer Beer – a limited edition brew created in partnership with the Pride Winnipeg festival – will be returning for another year.
Developed with input from the Pride organizing committee, Queer Beer is a 4.8% lager with “a light touch of organic raspberry juice” that’s described as having “impeccable taste, a little fruity, and 100% fabulous!”
UPDATE: As noted in the comments below, the 2012 edition of Queer Beer did not contain any raspberry juice after all, and was instead an unflavoured Helles-style lager.
Half Pints Queer Beer will be available soon in six packs at select MLCC stores and the brewery store, and will be on tap at special events and various gay and gay-friendly establishments during the 25th anniversary edition of Pride Winnipeg, running May 25th to June 3rd 2012.
This years batch of Queer Beer didn’t have any raspberry juice in it; it was a “straight up helles in style” beer this time around:

Ah, thanks for the update – the original info I found about its return made it sound as if it would be the same as last year’s. I’ll update the post.
