NELSON, BC – The Nelson Star newspaper reports that Nelson Brewing Company has a pair of one-off beers planned to be released this summer as part of special events in the community.
The first is a yet-to-be-named Belgian-style wheat beer flavoured with coriander, orange and lemon peel that will go on tap in late June at The Royal as part of MarketFest, an event that features local music, food and artisan products.
Following in August will be Shambhalager, a German-style lager that will be served at Mike’s Place Pub during the 15th anniversary edition of the Shambhala Music Festival. Proceeds from this beer will be donated to an outdoor skate park project being spearheaded by The Hume Hotel where Mike’s Place is located.
