VANKLEEK HILL, ON – Beau’s All Natural Brewing has announced plans to launch four new beers for the upcoming third annual edition of Ontario Craft Beer Week (June 17th to 23rd), and while all of them are barrel-aged, they are otherwise quite different from each other.
The quartet of new offerings will include:
Beau’s Pan Ontario Blend – Following on a similar experimental blended beer created for OCB Week 2011, this new edition is a blend of Beau’s Beaver River I.P. Eh, Flying Monkeys Netherworld Cascadian Dark, Grand River Curmudgeon IPA, Great Lakes Robust Porter, and Wellington Imperial Russian Stout, with the combined beer aged in spirit barrels. The result will be on tap at select pubs and restaurants throughout the province.
Venskab – Named after the Danish word for “Friendship,” this latest in Beau’s Wild Oats series is a collaboration with renowned Danish brewer Anders Kissmeyer of Nørrebro Bryghus. The beer is based on a Belgian Tripel recipe with the addition of herbs and fruit, and then conditioned on oak chips soaked in ice wine, followed by three months of aging in a white wine barrel, and a final bottle conditioning using Champagne yeast. This limited edition brew will be available exclusively at the Beau’s brewery store and via the BYBO delivery service, retailing for $18.85 per 600 ml bottle.
Beaver River I.P. Eh Barrel-Aged Blend – A unique version of Beaver River featuring a portion that was split off and aged in a variety of bourbon, wheat whisky and brandy barrels, before being blended back into the unaged batch. Also available exclusively at the brewery and via home delivery, with 600 ml bottles selling for $5.35.
Bourbon Aged DoubleWide IPA – The latest installment in the Beau’s Greener Futures series, which is raising funds for the installation of solar panels on the brewery roof, this barrel aged version of DoubleWide IPA, a limited beer released in its original form back in January, will be available exclusively to Greener Futures subscribers starting June 17th.
