VANKLEEK HILL, ON – Beau’s All Natural Brewing has officially announced the dates and other details of the 2012 edition of the popular and anticipated Vankleek Hill Oktoberfest. Taking place September 28th through 30th at the Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds, this annual event once again promises “3 days of food, music, beer and fun for the whole family”.
Beau’s will be serving 9 different beers, including the year-round Lug Tread Lagered Ale, seasonal Night Märzen Oktoberfest Lager, and 7 Wild Oats Series one-off beers to be announced during National Capital Craft Beer Week in August. Six of the beers will also be available in a mixed pack of bottles to be sold during the weekend at the Beau’s brewery store.
In addition, there will be a satellite event of Toronto’s Cask Days festival featuring cask ales from craft breweries in Ontario and Quebec; a Beer School pavilion with talks and panels by brewers and beer experts; and Bavarian and seasonally inspired food from over 20 local restaurants.
Musical entertainment throughout the weekend will include alt-country act Elliot Brood, Juno nominees Hollerado, indie rock band Plants and Animals, revered Toronto musician Ron Hawkins, and Canada’s polka king Walter Ostenak, plus many more to be announced. Various fun activities and competitions will also take place, and the unlicensed Kinderfest area will provide games and entertainment for kids.
