TORONTO, ON – The 2012 edition of the Hart House Craft Beer Festival has proven to be one of the most anticipated happenings in Toronto’s beer festival season, as tickets have once again sold out well in advance.
Taking place on Thursday August 2nd in the quad at Hart House on the University of Toronto campus, the Festival will treat 700 attendees to the best from Ontario’s craft brewing scene, with breweries including Amsterdam, Beau’s, Flying Monkeys, Great Lakes, Hop City, Junction, Mill St., Spearhead and many more on hand to pour their beers. Several out of province brewers will also be represented, including Big Rock, Granville Island, and a variety of Quebec beers from the Keep 6 Imports portfolio, and Spirit Tree Estate Cidery will be the Festival’s first cider purveyor.
The event will also feature BBQ food from Hart House Executive Chef Marco Tucci and his team, and DJs from campus and community radio station CIUT 89.5 FM will be playing a live-to-air set from 8:00 PM to midnight.
For those who missed out on tickets, NOW Magazine is currently running a contest for a pair, and there’s always a chance that someone may offer tickets they can’t use on the Facebook event page. If those don’t pan out, keep an eye on the Hart House Twitter feed in case other giveaways are offered.
