Sharp Magazine Picks Canada’s Best Microbrews

TORONTO, ON – Canadian men’s magazine Sharp has posted a round-up of what it considers “The 8 Best Microbrews in Canada” on its website – although it could more accurately be called a list of microbreweries, as it names eight breweries rather than eight beers.

Those that made the cut include Steam Whistle and Mill Street from Ontario; Granville Island, Vancouver Island and Okanagan Spring from BC; Alley Kat from Alberta; Propeller from Nova Scotia; and Unibroue from Quebec.

As should be expected for an online “best of” list, the feedback section is already filled with criticism of the choices, as well as negative comments on author Coleman Molnar’s assertion in his introduction that mainstream brands such as Kokanee, Canadian, Sleeman, and Alexander Keith’s are “all great beers”.
