Dates & Details Announced for Toronto Oktoberfest 2012

TORONTO, ON – Details have been announced for the first Toronto Oktoberfest, taking place October 4th and 5th, 2012 in the North Building of St. Lawrence Market.

Organizers have provided the following description of the event:

This year, Toronto will join in a 200 year old Bavarian celebration by presenting Toronto Oktoberfest. Inspired by tradition, Toronto Oktoberfest will deliver an authentic festhalle experience through authentic food, bier, sekt and merriment. Toronto Oktoberfest will deliver a truly captivating experience complete with oompah bands, Bavarian dancers, lederhosen and dirndls, Bavarian Strongman, Miss Oktoberfest, blowing of the horn and much more.

Featured beers will include Creemore Springs Kellerbier and Pilsner, along with German imports Erdinger & Weihenstephan, and several other European brands. Non-beer drinkers will be offered locally made Thornbury Premium Cider, imported Strongbow Cider, and German sparkling wine Rotkäppchen.

Tickets for Toronto Oktoberfest are now available, with the price ranging from $20 to $25 depending on the date and session.
