VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has named the shortlist of 10 nominated charities for the Phillips 2012 Benefit Brew, and voting is open to select which organization will have a fundraising beer brewed in their honour.
The 10 charities in the running, and the beer style that will be brewed for them should they win, include:
Providence Farm (Scottish Export)
Nature Trust of BC (Pilsner)
Cetus Research Society (Milk Stout)
Life Cycles Project (Honey Ale)
Community Micro-Lending Program (Steam Beer)
Music BC (Schwartzbier)
Little People of BC (Marzen-Oktoberfest)
CNIB (White Beer)
Sunshine Clown Society (Beechwood-aged Rice Light Lager)
Ucluelet Aquarium (Smoked Beer)
Votes for the charity and beer of your choice can be placed now on the Phillips website. The winning charity/beer is expected to be announced at the beginning of December, and the beer will be released in early 2013.
