WHITEHORSE, YK – Yukon Brewing has announced details of several beers that are available now, or will be soon.
Jelly Donut Raspberry Ale is described as “light, effervescent, but still very full-bodied with a slight bitter finish due to the finishing orange peel”. It’s available now for growler fills at the brewery and on tap at select bars in Whitehorse, and will soon be tapped at Urban Diner in Edmonton.
Longest Night – a Cascadian Dark Ale that is “dark and malty” but with “plenty of hop bitterness” from ample quantities of Millennium, Cascade, and Glacier hops – was tapped at the brewery last week. It will also be available at select bars in Calgary and Edmonton, and in bottles in Alberta liquor stores, where it will be released as the 5th edition in Yukon’s A.D.D. Series of limited edition beers.
Coming later this month is Spiced Winter Ale, which has “a rich, bronze colour, and is spiced with freshly broken cinnamon sticks, dried orange peel, cardamom, and star anise.” Originally released in the Yukon in 2008, and also available in Alberta last year as part of the A.D.D. Series, Spiced Winter Ale will be available on the brewery’s growler system.
