REGINA, SK – Bushwakker Brewpub has announced that this year’s vintage of the popular Bushwakker Blackberry Mead will be going on sale at 11:00 AM this coming Saturday December 1st – although those hoping to get a bottle may want to show up a fair bit earlier to avoid being disappointed.
According to the event announcement, last year’s edition of over 6000 bottles sold out in less than two hours. The line-up to buy bottles started around 3:20 AM, and the patient customers showed up “with tents, portable music systems, propane heaters, patio heaters, BBQs, sleeping bags and even card tables.”
Production of this year’s edition of the 11.5% abv Blackberry Mead has been increased to 12 tanks, with half packaged in 650 ml bottles for take-home sale, and the other half kegged to be served on tap at the brewpub.
In order to ensure that as many people as possible are able to try it, bottle purchases will be limited to a maximum of 12 bottles, and bar service will be capped at two 12 ounce servings per person.
