ROCKFORD, ON – The Owen Sound Sun Times reports that Kilannan Brewing is just a couple of weeks away from releasing the first batch of beer from its facility in a plaza in Rockford, a small town just outside of the city of Owen Sound.
Founded by 22 year old brewer Spencer Wareham, Kilannan Brewing was originally planned to be called Georgian Brewing – as announced here on CBN last month – but when that name was contested, Wareham changed it in honour of Kilannan Farms, a property owned by his family where he hopes to eventually move the brewery.
The flagship beer will be Kilannan Alt, a German-style Altbier, which will be available in cans and kegs from the brewery when it opens in mid-December. Other brands are planned to follow depending on the success of the first beer.
Excellent taste. I really enjoy the beer. Just not always available.
