HALIFAX, NS – In what is likely to be a continuation of the Alexander Keith’s Brewmaster Series of limited edition beers, Keith’s Hop Mason Ale is set to be released soon by the Labatt-owned brewery.
According to a product listing on the website of Ontario’s Beer Store chain, Hop Mason is described as follows:
A tribute to Alexander Keith’s leadership of the Atlantic Freemasons, this hop-forward ale balances the dominant notes of citrus and grapefruit of the aromatic Centennial hop with rich malt and a robust bitterness.
It’s unclear at this point how widely available this beer will be, and in what formats it will be distributed, but based on the above-noted product listing, it will be available on draught in Ontario. Further updates will be reported here on CBN as details become available.
UPDATE: After the original post above was published, Prime Pubs – a chain of pubs in Ontario and Alberta that includes D’Arcy McGee’s, Fionn MacCool’s, Paddy Flaherty’s and Tir Nan Òg – announced on its Facebook page that Hop Mason is “an awesome Alexander Keith’s beer brewed exclusively for Prime Pubs”.
