VANCOUVER, BC – Granville Island Brewing has announced the release of this year’s edition of a popular seasonal beer to mark the birthday of famous Scots poet Robert Burns.
Set to be officially launched at a Robbie Burns Day open house this Friday January 25th, Granville Island Limited Release Scottish Ale is described as follows:
This full-bodied ale is as bold as the lochs, hills and coastline that inspired it. Chestnut brown in colour, it is definitively malt forward, with layers of big roasted and malted barley flavours. Pairs exceptionally well with roasted meats, game and good friends.
Those interested in attending the launch party, taking place at the GIB Taproom (1441 Cartwright Street, Granville Island, Vancouver) at 6:00 PM on Friday, should email rsvp@gib.ca to confirm attendance.
Scottish Ale will be available in 650 ml bottles at the GIB retail store and select government and private liquor stores in BC. It is also a feature beer for the Dine Out Vancouver restaurant festival, currently taking place at more than 240 restaurants in Vancouver.
