TORONTO, ON – A year after its splashy launch in the US market, Labatt Breweries has announced the entry of Bud Light Platinum into Canada.
Described as a “strong beer with a light, easy-drinking taste,” Bud Light Platinum is a 6% abv lager that was launched in Canada earlier this month, represented by a marketing campaign that kicked off with ads during the Super Bowl.
Bud Light Platinum is available now in beer and liquor retailers across the country, packaged in distinct 650 ml cobalt blue glass bottles, 355 ml cans, and 355 ml aluminum bottles.
I don’t understand how this can be 6% abv and be called a light beer.
Doesn’t Canadian law require LIGHT beer to be between 2.6% and 4% abv and beers which are 5.6% to 8% be labelled strong (or malt liquer).
how much is the deposit on the can worth?? terribly expensive beer!!
