NELSON, BC – Late last year, Nelson Brewing announced tentative plans to shake up their line-up in 2013, including shifting several brands to new packaging formats, and launching several new seasonal brands throughout the year.
More details of these changes are now confirmed, and have been shared with CBN by Al Mcleod, Excecutive Manager of Sales, Marketing and Delivery at Nelson Brewing.
The changes start on April 15th, when AfterDark Mild Ale and Paddywhack IPA will be switching from bottles to 355 ml cans.
On the same date, Nelson will be releasing two beers in 650 ml bomber bottles: Hopgood Organic Session Ale, a 4.2% summer seasonal described as having “hints of passion fruit, mango and sauvignon blanc grapes” from the specially chosen New Zealand hops; and Full Nelson Organic Imperial IPA, an 8.2% abv ale with “powerful hop aroma and huge malt body, not for the weak.”
Following on July 15th will be Tall Tale Organic Wheat Ale, a limited edition hefeweizen (32 kegs and 500 cases of 650 ml bottles) being brewed especially for Mike’s Place Pub in Nelson.
In October, the brewery will debut Thanksgiving Organic Pumpkin Ale, a spiced fall seasonal made with pumpkin, allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon, and limited to 1000 cases of 650 ml bottles.
And finally, the year will be wrapped up with a special Christmas 4-pack containing 650 ml bottles of Faceplant Organic Winter Ale, BlissTank Organic Triple Chocolate Stout, and two new beers to be announced.
