FREDERICTON, NB – Picaroons Traditional Ales has announced the launch of a new series of beers inspired by moments and icons in the history of New Brunswick.
The series was kicked off this past weekend with the release of 104th Regiment Ale, a 4.2% ale marking the 200th anniversary of an important military event:
On February 16th 1813, New Brunswick’s 104th Regiment of Foot started a more than 1100 kilometre march from Fredericton, New Brunswick to modern day Kingston, Ontario, to reinforce the British garrison and thwart an expected American invasion. The winter of 1813 was one of extreme cold and heavy snows and this march lasted until April. This epic march stands as a great achievement in both military, and New Brunswick history.
104th Regiment Ale is available exclusively at the Picaroons Brewtique taproom in downtown Fredericton while supplies last.
