CALGARY, AB – Wild Rose Brewery has announced plans to both expand and relocate in coming months, a change that is partly triggered by the lease on the brewery’s current site coming to an end early next year.
According to a recent Calgary Herald article, Wild Rose has been given notice by Canada Lands Company that the lease on its 8,000 square foot brewery and taproom in Currie Barracks will be ending in February 2014 due to extensive redevelopment that is set to take place in the area.
Canada Lands is hoping to keep Wild Rose as a tenant beyond that date, and is working with them to find another suitable location within the Barracks development.
In the meantime, Wild Rose is going ahead with plans to open a second production facility in a 40,000 square foot warehouse in the Foothills Industrial Park, with a brewery and bottling line expected to be up and running by the fall.
