VANCOUVER, BC – Steamworks Brewing has announced the hiring of Caolan Vaughan as its new Brewmaster, taking over the role from Conrad Gmoser who has departed after nearly 18 years at the post.
Vaughan comes to Steamworks from the UK’s Thornbridge Brewery, and has previous experience at Little Creatures Brewing in Australia.
Since arriving at Steamworks, he’s been actively involved in the design and commissioning of the brewery’s new 50 hectolitre brewhouse, and is now overseeing the production of flagship brands Steamworks Pale Ale and Steamworks Pilsner, as well as assorted seasonal releases.
The first seasonal beer to be designed and brewed by Vaughan and his team will be a Saison Ale, due to be released this spring.
