HAMILTON, ON – After years of depending on other Ontario towns and cities to supply its craft beer needs, Hamilton will soon be home to a small brewery of its own.
As reported by CBC News earlier this week, The Hamilton Brewery is being launched by Warren Pyper, a chef and ex-military master corporal with an interest in craft beer that began during a visit to New Zealand.
With the assistance of several family members, Pyper is preparing to install a brewhouse and retail outlet in a 4200 square foot warehouse in the north end of Hamilton, with an aim to start selling three core brands – “an easy-drinkin’ west coast pale ale, a creamy Irish red and a hoppy India pale ale” – and assorted seasonals by the end of 2013.
