TORONTO, ON – Three months after it was first planned to be released, Bellwoods Brewery is finally set to unveil a limited edition beer that has been more than a year in the making.
Motley Cru is a blend of a sour Tripel and a barrel-aged Quad that was originally intended to be put on sale in April, but was held back for additional aging until owners Mike Clark and Luke Pestl felt it was in top form.
Now aged for over a year, Motley Cru will go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday July 10th) in a limited run of bottles available exclusively in the Bellwoods retail store. The price and per-person sales limit – if any – have yet to be confirmed.
UPDATE: Bellwoods has announced via Twitter that Motley Cru will go on sale at 4:30 PM tomorrow, with a price of $20 per bottle, and a limit of three bottles per person.
