TORONTO, ON – Whitecap Books has announced the upcoming publication of a new beer-themed cookbook from one of Toronto’s best known food and drink bloggers.
The Canadian Craft Beer Cookbook is the first book by David Ort, beer columnist for the Post City website and magazine chain, and creator of the long running blog Food With Legs.
As the title suggests, the Canadian Craft Beer Cookbook includes more than 75 recipes that incorporate craft beer as an ingredient or pair well with craft beer. In each case, a specific Canadian craft beer is suggested to be used as the ingredient or pairing.
In addition, the book “explains the difference between craft beer and “regular” beer, provides some theory behind the practice of pairing beer with foods, and includes a rundown of the ingredients that make up a perfect brew.”
To support the book, Ort is also launching a companion website that will feature additional and exclusive content.
The Canadian Craft Beer Cookbook will be released on October 17th, with a suggested retail price of $29.95. It is available now for online pre-order at Amazon and Indigo, and will also be available at booksellers across the country.
