HALIFAX, NS – Local Connections Halifax, a quarterly print and online publication dedicated to showcasing “the best our region has to offer,” has announced details of an upcoming event that will put the spotlight on the region’s burgeoning craft brewing scene.
The Meet Your Local Craft Beer and Local Food Celebration will take place on Thursday January 16th at The Halifax Club (1682 Hollis St., Halifax), and will feature seven distinct rooms, each featuring different food and drink experiences.
Rooms will include “The Cask Room”, featuring one-off cask ales from several Nova Scotia breweries paired with local beef prepared by Chef Richard Sanford of Durty Nelly’s; “The Craft Brewers Room”, with beer from all of Halifax’s craft breweries – Bridge Brewing, Garrison Brewing, Hart & Thistle Gastropub, Propeller Brewing, Rockbottom Brewpub and Rogues Roost – along with food by Agricola Street Brasserie; “The Orchard Room”, with Stutz, Shipbuilders and Bulwark ciders, and Nova Scotian pork prepared by Chef Geir Simensen from the Stubborn Goat Gastropub; and four others with even more beer and food on offer.
All inclusive tickets to the Celebration are on sale now, with an early bird price of $65 until November 15th (or while supplies last), and a full price of $75 until November 30th. See the online ticketing page for more details.
To help promote the event, the latest issue of Local Connections Halifax includes a six page feature on craft brewing in Nova Scotia. The issue is available online now, with print copies to be distributed later this week throughout Halifax and surrounding area.
