VICTORIA, BC – Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub has announced the release of two new seasonal beers, one that offers a darker than usual take on an increasingly popular beer style, and the other being the results of an experiment started a year ago.
The first is Into The Dark Saison, which is described as follows:
Darker months call for darker beers and this beer is the perfect transition. While this black Saison is dark in colour, the light body and effervescence balance with the subtle spice from the Belgian style yeast and Tettenager hops creating an ale perfect to enjoy equally on the patio on the rare sunny days, or in front of our fireplace.
The second is Sooke Sour Plum Ale, an 8.2% abv ale with the following notes:
For some time now we have been wanting to play around with creating alternative flavour profiles in some of our beers. When a chance came along a year ago to allow a beer that had gone astray to age and develop its own character we decided to let it go and see what transformations would take place. At the end of this process we are pleased to present Sooke Sour Plum Belgian Ale.
Both beers are available now on draught at the Spinnakers brewpub, and can also be purchased in growlers to take home, while supplies last.
