VANKLEEK HILL, ON – Beau’s All Natural Brewing is getting set to kick of the second week of this year’s edition of FeBREWary – a month of beer launches and events from the brewery – with the release of a brand new installment in the Wild Oats series of experimental one-off beers.
Ellsmere’s Regret is a uniquely flavoured stout that is described as follows:
The 5.5% stout was brewed using 18 kg of organic chocolate, 10 kg of cocoa nibs, and 20 kg of hemp seeds. Aromas of chocolate and roasted malts give way to hints of vanilla and nuts, and the flavours of dark chocolate and cocoa meld with roasty malts, offset by sweetness and a whisper of vanilla. The use of real marshmallow leaf in the brew is a tip of the hat to the origins of the modern “guimauve” confection, and lends a mild herbal, tea-like quality to the beer.
Ellsmere’s Regret is available starting today in the Beau’s brewery retail store and BYBO delivery service, and on tap at more than 100 participating bars and pubs across Ontario.
A cask-conditioned version of the new beer will be tapped at Beau’s tomorrow (Friday February 7th) at 2:00 PM, and a full-scale Winter Camp themed launch event featuring a marshmallow roast and giveaways will be happening at the brewery on Saturday February 8th.
For more details on these and other events and releases, see the FeBREWary page on the Beau’s website.
