VANCOUVER, BC – Granville Island Brewing has announced the upcoming return of Cloak & Dagger Cascadian Dark Ale, the beer that launched the brewery’s Black Note Book Series of limited edition and experimental beers last spring.
Named as a sly nod to the controversy that swirled around the use of the “Cascadian” descriptor in the BC craft brewing scene early last year, Cloak & Dagger is described as follows:
Under the cover of malty darkness, mighty hops are poised to attack. Roasted black and chocolate malt flavours with a bold bitterness from Pacific Northwest hops. It’s a mysterious blend of flavours that could only come from Cascadia.
The new batch of Cloak & Dagger Cascadian Dark Ale will be released next Monday February 17th. It will be available in 650 ml bottles at select liquor stores in BC and at the Granville Island Brewing retail store.
