ABBOTSFORD, BC – The rapid-fire series of new brewery openings in BC this year looks like it won’t be abating any time soon, with another newcomer now open for business in Abbotsford.
Canuck Empire Brewing is a start-up from long-time homebrewer Brandon Wiggins that aims to create “Distinctive Beers for Offbeat Canadians.”
The first offering from the brewery is Coast Trail Pale Ale, a 5.5% abv and 35 IBU ale described as follows:
Coast Trail Pale Ale is our West Coast lifestyle in a bottle. Bright copper colour, tons of crisp citrusy hop character, followed by a slightly sweet bready malt flavour.
Joining the Canuck Empire line-up next month will be Backcountry IPA (5.8% abv / 65 IBU), and fall seasonal Pumpkin Patch Ale (6% abv / 30 IBU) will follow in September.
Coast Trail Pale Ale is available now in 650 ml bottles at select liquor stores in British Columbia. For more information, see the Canuck Empire website, Facebook page and Twitter feed.
