TORONTO, ON – Bush Pilot Brewing, a gypsy brewery launched last year by Vlado and Liliana Pavicic of import agency Roland + Russell, is getting set to release its latest collaborative beer.
Named after the Noorduyn Norseman, a legendary bush plane that was in production from 1935 to 1959, Bush Pilot Norseman is a barrel-aged Eisbock that was created in partnership with Nøgne Ø co-founder Kjetil Jikiun who is a Norseman himself, as well as a trained pilot.
Working together with Ryan Morrow, head brewer at Nickel Brook Brewing, the team brewed a 14% abv Eisbock that has been aged in French Armagnac barrels for several months. The result will be bottled soon for limited release at select LCBO outlets.
More details on the beer and the plane that inspired it can be found on the Norseman page on the Bush Pilot website.
